Setting Up a Charity
- Follow this link to find lots of easy to follow guides written by the Charity Commission to help you understand the key decisions you need to make when setting up a charity. Topics include: Essential Reading for setting up a charity, charity types, choosing a charity structure and how to write a charitable purpose as well as Forms, Templates and Resources and finally a helpful section on Policy Documents.
- This link will take you to KnowHowNonProfit, a website offering a huge amount of information to help you do anything in the voluntary and not-for profit sector. Articles in this section include starting up, deciding on your charitable status, building your Board and governance structures, and more, etc.
Managing a Charity
- This link will take you to the Charity Commision website where you will find detailed information on the topics you need for the daily management and oversight of your charity including: sending in your charity annual return, changing your charity's details, running charity meetings, and what you need to do in the event of the removal or resignation of trustees, etc.
